Purchasing Treadmill Trainer

I have recently purchased Treadmill Trainer 3.  I have been running for two years, I started when I was 46 and have completed four 1/2 marathons to date.  My problem is I am slow.  Although my endurance has greatly increased, I can now run 26 km and last a whole game of old lady soccer, I can’t seem to push myself to get faster.  I needed somebody to push me.  I believe guys find this easier to do than women, I think we give up a lot quicker.I started with Treadmill 3 after listening to the demo, and have been working on that interval session for the last 3 weeks and guess what, I am starting to improve.  My lofty goal is to shave off 10 minutes for a 10 K race the first week of December 2009.  I want to run a 50 minute 10 K, which means I need to get used to running 5 min kilometers.Treadmill Trainer 3 has been working great.  It is 45 minutes long, which is a perfect interval session for me.  All my running so far has just involved hills, tempo runs and long slow distance training.I have never done interval work and was always scared of it.  With Yuri as coach, you feel he is right there, pushing you to push yourself.  It is truly amazing, and you don’t want to let him down.  I have been able to work out some pace bands for each interval within the workout and I can now sustain a 5:15 km for 5 - 7 minutes, awesome.  The thing is, I am getting used to running faster, and because you do it on the Treadmill, it sorts out what that pace is supposed to feel like in relation to exertion, and that is truly valuable, because I have discovered that what I thought was impossible and way too hard can be done, even if for a minute.  I am an asthmatic too!I am ready to download Treadmill 4 and Hills 1 and will use these other workouts in conjunction with Treadmill 3.  I will let you all know how I do in the Catch the Elves race on December 5, I have every confidence that I will get under 60 minutes.I am grateful to have a tool and training partner who is always there for me, who I can take with me on my IPOD and never worry about standing him up.He is also fun to take outside, you feel like you are in a race against your best friend.Thank you Yuri, I am so pleased.P.S. I wish you did soccer running drills too!
