Holiday Assistance

Once again, the combination of dedicated staff members and a generous community has allowed us to provide assistance to many needy families for the holidays.  Over 150 Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners were distributed this past holiday season.  The Coalition was also able to provide gifts for nearly 400 children.  Thank you to all participating staff, donors, and volunteers.

Courage Award

On June 13, 2006 Latasha Dobson received the United Way Courage Award at their 84th Annual Meeting.  Her achievements have inspired us all.  Congratulations Latasha!

Volunteers

The Coalition would like to thank Brooks Holmes for his belief in the people we serve.  Brooks has spent countless hours at Pilgrims Hope tutoring adults and children, helping them to achieve their educational goals.  Also, a special thank you to Debbie.  Thanks to you and your talent for painting, Pilgrim’s Hope is looking great.

Summer Fun

We have a fun filled summer planned for the children at Pilgrim’s Hope.  Coldwell Banker Cares will be hosting a trip to Buttonwood Zoo on July 13.  Baseball is the name of the game on August 3.  Brockton Rox has generously donated tickets so that all the families at Pilgrim’s Hope may enjoy a night at Campanelli Stadium.  On August 24 we will go back in time when we visit Plimoth Plantation and learn about the very beginnings of our country.  The children and their families will also be visiting New England Aquarium and Boston Children’s Museum thanks to their ticket donations.  Happy Summer Everyone!

Board and Staff

The Coalition would like to welcome Donna Crane (NE Moves Mortgage), Todd Sadler (Sadler Financial Services, Ltd.), and Bruce Miller (Town of Plymouth Finance Director) to the Board of Directors.  Sadly we say goodbye to Liz Osborne, Children Services Coordinator at Pilgrim’s Hope.  Her years of dedication to our mission are greatly appreciated.  We all wish you the best in your new endeavors.
