Medigap VS Medicare Advantage Plans: Getting The Best Coverage

When choosing Medigap vs Medicare Advantage plans, it is crucial to know what type of Medicare health insurance you are going to need. Medicare Advantage is not the same as Medicare Supplemental (Medigap) insurance. Medigap insurance is in addition to Medicare Part A and B while a Medicare Part C includes Parts A and B which can include extra coverage. The difference between the two is that a Medicare Advantage plan covers for the medical expenses instead of Medicare and Medigap insurance pays only after your original Medicare already made its coverage. Having that said, it is better to have acquired Medigap first than Medicare Advantage plan.
