You Can Still Qualify for a Mortgage
In this economy, a lot of people are harping on how hard it is to qualify for a mortgage. Standards have been tightened, documentation is more cumbersome, and in some cases, banks just aren’t lending, or so we had heard. However, when we applied for a mortgage to buy a new home last year, that was not what we found at all. We have always been careful to manage our finances well, and we found that we did not have any trouble getting a new home loan. The paperwork was burdensome, but it was not impossible to get together in time.
