The Barefoot Running Debate

A hot issue within the sports discussion forums at the moment could be the politics over the use of athletic shoes as opposed to jogging in sync with nature and leaving the runners behind. On one side of the debate, joggers like protection from the concrete jogging surfaces and alternatively the barefoot running movement are convinced jogging shoes are the source of evil. Athletes that use jogging shoes view runners who train without shoes as almost belong to a conspiracy. Runners that train without footwear look at athletes that train in footwear to be drawn in with the high-priced promotion campaigns by jogging footwear corporations. No doubt that a lot of funds are threatened.
