Long term effects of Prednisone
There are some long term effects of the drug prednisone. These are as such —the Cushing’s syndrome and the gain in truncal weight. The other side effects are cataracts as well as glaucoma and osteoporosis. Type two diabetes mellitus and some depressions are also some of the long side effects of prednisone. Some of the major side effects are as such— For diabetics, it the increase level of blood sugar which is countable as Weight gain, Obstruction in the thought process, Fatigue and weakness, The unclear vision, Pain in the abdomen, Peptic ulcer, Infections. These are some of the major side effects which are being caused by prednisone.
