The other day my father was telling me about his first pair of new Jordans from like 1985, but he also said there seemed to be something missing from them. The sneakers were not perfect becase they did have something missing, but they were still form fitting for the person that brought them. When these faux Jordan sneakers came out later, they looked like the real ones but weren’t exactly the same and missed some crucial elements that make an authentic Jordan sneaker what it is. By listening to the consumer’s constructive criticism they were able to improve their product, release their new creation and win the consumers over once more.

An umpire is like a judge: We examine a body of facts—the evidence—and reach a decision. The difference is, umpires can’t “sleep on it.” We must render a decision in about a second (as opposed to a split-second). Clearly, instinct is more important than intellectualizing.
Baseball instinct is something we’re born with to one degree or another. Still, we can refine those instincts, our feeling for the “inner game.” Start by studying the Men in Blue. Analyze and, when appropriate, imitate. Unfortunately, most people notice umpires only when we get in trouble. Kids grow up watching the game from the viewpoint of a fan or player. They may develop the instincts of a great shortstop but rarely those of a great umpire.

Tomorrow i am travelling by plane up to Queensland to do two things. The first thing I will be doing is visiting the gold coast mma shop and purchasing some new martial arts equipment, including boxing gloves and also pick up some strength and conditioning equipment including a medicine ball. The second thing I will be doing is participating in a Thai boxing competition against the current lightweight champion. the fight is three by three minute rounds and is the biggest fight of my career, I hope I win as I have trained really hard for it. The sport is really big up here so it should be a big crowd.

I have read several golf psychology books, and I must say they are well worth it. My handicap went from a 25 to a 9 in just over 2 years by utilizing the mental techniques outlined in the books. Golf is a mind game and you can lose by not having the correct frame of mind while playing. The right mental approach to the game will lower your scores before you know it, and winning tournaments will become a regular occurrence. I improved my focus and increased my confidence so I could become the best player possible. Hopefully I will win the trophy at the city tournament next week.

I was watching television one night and there was an advertisement for some sort of sports food that claimed that they could build muscle. Since a lot of young guys want to know how to get a six pack fast, they probably fall for these claims and buy this stuff. The advertisement claims that by simply eating their food, abs will magically transform in 30 days. Thankfully, as a coach in a high school, I am able to tell the boys the truth if they ask for it. Fortunately, these advertisements are on pretty late at night and they are not the target of the ads.

The amount of sun and wind and glare you have to face change all day long. That’s why I always carry two pair of Anon goggles when I go out, packed into my gear bag. I have Blue Solex lenses for those days when the glare is so strong it feels like it could just kill my eyes, and some Blue Lagoons to give me more contrast in poor light. I’ve been looking at a pair for night snowboarding, too, because sometimes we don’t want to quit just because the sun has gone, but I want to keep protecting my eyes and look massively cool under the pipe lights too.

I have the bridgestone golf clubs and I have to say they are amazing quality and have helped me improve my play, ok they haven’t worked miracles but my golf has never been perfect. The price i paid was amazing too, some brands are soo expensive and i know the good old saying buy cheap buy twice but not everyone has a bottomless pit of money. They are not the cheapes around and not the most expensive but i have to say quality for money.
I have to say they are my brand choice of the moment.

Besides having a snowboard and boots, the most important piece of equipment that you need to have as a snowboarder is a warm jacket. People often buy snowboarding jackets at a specialty ski shop because they can buy from many different brands and can always find the color that they want. When snowboarding it is important to not only stay warm while on the mountain, but to also look cool. You don’t want to buy a jacket that is from last season. You want to make sure that the jacket represents you and the skills you will show this season. You also want to make sure that it will keep you warm.
