Why It’s Dangerous to Ignore a Baby Car Seat’s Expiration Date

Standards for crash tests change every few years to make babies safer in transit. The newer seats are up to date and have better safety standards. Old expired seat are probably damaged with wear and tear even if we don’t see the damage. A worn out seat can also malfunction in case of an accident.

Baby car seats and infant booster seats expire and it is unsafe to use it after the expiration date. You’ll find the date on the side or bottom of the seat. Expired seats should be destroyed before throwing it away so that no one unwittingly picks it up and uses it for his own child.
